Arure is a small town that belongs to Valle Gran Rey in La Gomera. This small population center was the old capital of the municipality, it should be noted that Arure has an interesting architecture that shows the traditional architecture of the island. 2. Caserío de Arguayoda

In La Gomera we can find an interesting and picturesque village in the town of Alajeró, in the southern part of the island, it is known as Caserío de Arguayoda. This construction stands out for being perfectly preserved and is a clear example of the traditional architecture of La Gomera, composed of several houses of stone and wood. The hamlet of Arguayoda stands out not only for its traditional Canarian construction, but also for the hermitage in honor of San Lorenzo, which forms one of its buildings.

The farmhouse is located in the middle of the Arguayoda hillock, which is protected by two large ravines, the Barranco de la Negra that reaches the beach of the same name and the Barrando de Erque that reaches the beach of the Rajita.

The Caserio is between palm trees and cactus trees so if you look with perspective the place resembles an oasis, during the winter the environment turns green and when the summer arrives you can see a golden landscape. It can be reached descending from the Cueva de Las Palomas and close to it you can see Caserios de El Drago and La Manteca. A wonderful environment together with traditional constructions make this a must-visit place.

4. Taguluche

Another of the villages of La Gomera that keep very well the passage of time is the Caserío de Taguluche. This population nucleus is located within the municipality of Valle Gran Rey, and is notable for conserving and enhancing the typical Canarian architecture and is located in a valley that is accessed through the town of Vallehermoso

5. Las Hayas

In the middle of Valle Gran Rey is the hamlet of Las Hayas, specifically in the upper part of the municipality, it is located about 1000 meters above sea level, bordering on the Garajonay National Park.

The population of Las Hayas are more or less semi-grouped, it crosses the road with other towns such as Arure or Chipude. This part of La Gomera is dedicated especially to the cultivation of potatoes and fruit trees, and there is also a large presence of palm groves even though it is located at more than 1000 meters of altitude.

The main festivities of the Las Hayas farmhouse are usually held in September in honor of the Virgen del Coromoto.
